You will find that it’s a considerable amount of work to prepare your websites content material. So it's imperative that you title your content material accordingly as it’s prepared. It’s also helpful to place special instructions within parenthesis. It also helps if you establish a unique identification system for your graphic content (A001.jpg). This will provide better communications for the placement of graphic material.
Remember: you’re supplying the raw material and we assemble that material accordingly into a graphically pleasing easy-to-read website design intended to attract and inspire your intended target audience.
A. It is recommended that you setup a separate Word doc file for Web page
content to be incorporated into your site. Be sure to indicate which files
correspond to which Web pages. Microsoft Word is preferred, though we can
convert a wide variety of file types including text content typed in an email.
B. Please do not send us a draft of your text. Send us your final version.
While we expect to make minor changes here and there after the Web pages are
prepared, we may have to charge extra to format and insert brand new text
if changes become perpetual. Most word processors allow you to count the approximate
number of words. Web pages which contain more than 1,200 words may be subject
to additional charges, especially if they require a good deal of formatting.
A. The quality appearance of digital images on your web site directly reflect
the quality of photos or graphics you select, so it is important that you
select images that are crisp and clear. Digital photo files are generally
sized and optimized using a raster based program such as Adobe Photoshop and
saved in a jpeg or png format to assure quick Internet load time. This applies
to scanned and digital camera images as well. Images selected that require
more than the basic sizing and/or optimizing for Internet use may be subject
to additional charges.
B. Vector based clipart can be used, and is generally converted from a vector
file to a raster file format. Animated gif’s are generally assembled
using a gif animation program and each animated component must be composed
in a sequel. If you require a custom animated gif file it will be an extra
charge based on our hourly rate. Otherwise we suggest that you find one that
has already been created.
C. You may send graphics to us in either a digitized format or as hard copy
photos, which we will scan. More than five scans are subject to additional
charges.
D. Captions: you may affix a Post-It Note to the photo to indicate its caption
and which web page it goes on and preferred page placement.
E. If you need us to prepare specialized graphic elements in addition to our
contract agreement, please explain clearly, and perhaps include a sketch.
We charge for such items on an hourly basis.
F. You may select stock photos for your pages from PhotoDisc www.photodisk.com
or Corel http://commerce.corel.com. Remember to give us the photograph location
and number. We will purchase and download the appropriate photo, place it
on the Web page indicated, and bill you for the cost of the photo. If you
want us to find and select photos, we charge on an hourly rate.
G. Any graphics sent via email must be sent as attachments and should include
placement instructions.
